ARC-V Canon Point: Episode 39 Character Info: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Zuzu_Boyle (For some stupid reason, the Yu-Gi-Oh wiki uses the English dub names Personality: Yuzu, for the most part, comes off as something of a sweet girl. She comes off as a jovial and upbeat kind of girl, trying her best to keep up everyone’s spirits. Despite this, and easily despite what she might say or act, she does have something of a hot-blooded personality like her father that manifests itself in a very short temper. When that temper goes off, you can certainly expect Yuzu to beat someone down with her humongous paper fan of hers, usually towards her father when he gets overly excited or towards Yuya when he does something incredibly stupid. As well, since she harbors feelings towards Yuya, she’ll also get fiercely protective of him and will get insanely jealous of anyone feeling the same. Granted, the only other person after Yuya’s affections (at this point) is the creepy fortune-telling child Mieru, who is totally clingy to him, constantly refers to him as “darling” and is convinced that he is meant to be her fated person, so it seems just a little odd. Despite this, she has a very caring personality, not only looking after Yuya and supporting him in his more trying times, but also being a big sister figure to the three kids within the You Show Duel School. A lot of Yuzu’s character derives from her trying to make sense of the world around her as it constantly evolves into something much more strange and frightening. She’s in the center of what appears to be a war between summoning types in Duel Monsters. Between being called “Ruri” and confronting a boy who looks, facially, like Yuya, it drives Yuzu into confusion and frustration, forcing her to try and seek out answers from someone. It doesn’t help that the mysterious boy doesn’t want Yuzu involved in all of this, despite the obvious fact that that’s not going to happen at all. Another aspect of her character is the idea of being stronger. A lot of her character development at her canon point has been the idea of becoming stronger due to her own mistakes - having been totally distracted by Yuuto’s appearance resembling Yuya’s, she allowed herself to be beaten by Masumi, leading to a near-disastrous tie-breaker battle between Yuya and Reiji, which Yuya learned that Reiji had somehow copied Pendulum Summoning. This drive, leading to her learning Fusion from Sora, ends up being a central part of her character, growing stronger in various ways as she’s forced to handle things away from Yuya and the others from a vast majority of the series. Abilities: Yuzu is shown to be quite athletic and strong. She’s smashed the old Hard Light Projector at the You Show School out of frustration, causing it to malfunction, shown to easily back flip away from people, has willingly leaped into the unknown in order to snatch an Action Card and is also capable of riding motorcycles, as she’s shown using a D-Wheel once in the Synchro Universe. Yuzu wears a special bracelet that works by teleporting the alternate dimension versions of Yuya away when he comes close. Of course, this makes a little confused and paranoid because she has no idea what the hell is going on. It can also be used against her and be dragged along, too. Because of the limitations and the unfairness of using the bracelet around the other Yuya-types, it’ll be permanently disabled to prevent the teleportations from happening. Yuzu’s Duel Disk allows her to create hard light holograms of the Duel Monsters in her deck, allowing them to be used physically and can be touched at will. She probably might be reluctant to use them for menial labor, but she’d be willing to do so if absolutely needed CARNIVAL↴ Soul Colour: Pink Ideal Jobs: Acrobat, Cashier, Shill Relevant Experience: Yuzu has been with the You Show School for quite awhile, even helping her dad in working the place, so she would have the skills and know-how to help with such a thing Reason for Joining: If anything, her major reasoning for joining would be because she’s been driven nuts by the mysterious by who looks like Yuya, along with Sora’s crazed outburst prior to her arrival at the carnival.
